COME ONE, COME ALL!

Welcome to Fantasy Weavers Original Theatre and Opera for Children and Adults! We are a non-profit theater group that specializes in events for underprivileged, at-risk children and adults. With unique themes such as fantasy and science fiction, our musical plays and operas are open to everyone, especially those who may not have the means to attend a live Broadway Show, or Metropolitan Opera performance. We produce and perform children's shows free of charge at any school that has limited or no access to the arts.

Our specialty is original fantasy works produced and directed by some of the best people in the business. Some of our shows cater to children alone, others to children and adults. Fantasy Weavers' own resident composer, Kate Quinn, writes all the plays and operas produced. She is a noted composer in and out of the Philadelphia area, whose musical and literary works have been seen multiple times with the Philadelphia Fringe Festival, from 2008 until 2010 and onward. Recently, Quinn produced an original children's musical called "Becky Butterfly and the Story of the Wayward Wasp," which is a tale about the importance of accepting differences in others and putting an end to bullying.

Quinn has also produced her own works outside of the Fringe, with such noted companies as Melange Theatre Live and her own Quinn Compositions. To the right is a picture from a show Quinn created called "Planet Discord" that was performed at the Rotunda in Philadelphia in June, 2008. For more information about Planet Discord, click "Shows" above.
